Resolution 2011-5: Pests

Effective: January 1, 2012.

Resolution 2011-5 supersedes resolution 2009-4 and any other resolution dealing with pests, which include cockroaches, bedbugs, etc.  A few highlights:

  • Because pests can travel between units, the Association will have surrounding units and common areas checked before treatment, in order to contain any infestation. The intent is to have all affected or potentially affected areas treated together.
  • The Association will have the areas rechecked two weeks following treatment.
  • Unit owners are still responsible complying with treatment instructions and for payment for bedbug treatment, and must provide receipts. Treatment must be done by an appropriately licensed firm. Bug bombs, etc. are not permitted.

These rules are intended to ensure prompt eradication of pest problems.

Move In / Move Out Procedures

Unit owners must schedule their moves (or those of their tenants) with the on-site Management Office at least 5 business days prior to the date of the move-in. A $100 move-in fee is charged. In addition, should the move cause damage to the common elements, the owner of the unit is responsible for the damages and cost of repair.
